Our literature also says that one addict sharing with another is the heartbeat of NA.
One liners, cryptic answers and do-it-yourself suggestions are not my style.

Many of us came to NA with preconceived warped concepts of a condemning judging god of our childhood religions. We thought we were worthless damned souls because of all the bad things we'd done. Over time a concept of a Loving Higher Power became possible. Having a clear concept of your  Higher Power is not necessary for Step Two, came to believe is the action part of the step.

Working on my 32nd year of One Day at a Time's Clean by the Grace of my Higher Power whom I choose to call God through the power of NA. My concept of my Higher Power is not now nor will it every be crystal clear. How can it be? My Higher Power is a power Greater than me. I don't need to fully understand HP to tap into the spiritual natural of HP. Sure I could write pages on what my God is to me today, not necessary to Believe in the Power that is manifest daily in my life.

Keep it Simple! Keep Coming Back!

I agree with what everyone is saying. Just wanna throw out there that for me, I sometimes trip on understanding my Higher Power, whom I call God. I sometimes have to stop and remind myself that I don't have to understand God. All I have to understand is that HP loves me and guides me and is where my strength comes from.

The more we understand how love of God keeps us well, the more we want of it.
Look and accept the obvious.
In NA blind faith isnt imposed on member; thats the prerogative of organized religions.
Organized religion would have us not queztion or understand anything, so that the leaders can manipulate
the flock..

Though the 3 Step reading says the the Program works without having to understand, this is only initially.
It says clearly that we need to be honest about our beliefs and aslo says that developing an understanding of God
is a project to be undertaken.

In fact, if youd noticed, the actual wording in the Step itself is
.........as we unddrstood.......

So why prevent understandings ?
