Hello and Welcome to MIP!

Have you tried to locate a Nar-Anon or Al-Anon program near you. These are programs for friends and relatives of addicts or alcoholics. You were learn the tools to help you understand an addicts behaviors and how to cope with a sponsor and the 12 steps similar to NA's steps. You can Google Nar-Anon.org OR Al-Anon.org.You can find meetings near you.You will learn that you didn't cause it and you can't cure it but you can learn to take care of your self.Addiction is a family disease and wreaks havoc throughout the family..Good luck let us know how you are doing.......

You absolutely should be talking to people in Nar anon....or if none is available in your area than al anon is just fine.
You will find people who have experience in dealing with what you are going through
