Clean house, clean everything

Maybe it's... That I started my 4 step, that I'm pmsing, that I watched the episode of drs explaining the bacteria and parasites and natural flora fauna in on near and around our bodies, maybe it's that my mother in law just visited, or that I'm taking bio 3 on parasites, or that I realized I've been slacking or that I've been stressed out lately, but when I got home today from work I had this overwhelming urge to clean the house, every nook and cranie, like I used to while on meth. I did this clean/sober by the way. I washed, dried, reorganized my clothes, GI-ed the kitchen/bathrooms, rented a carpet shampooer, took every dish I own, sanitized them all, reorganized them. Dusted and polished our wood furniture. Disinfected mattresses, cabinets, oven, microwave, toaster and ashtray. I don't know if this is normal or healthy, but today, at almost 4:00 in the afternoon, I am the most satisfied with myself as I have been in the past 4 years of my clean time.

Cleaning is a good thing to do with your time. Try not to make it your new obsession. Cleaning gives me a sense of accomplishment and instant results. Yes, things will get dirty again, but at least they are clean now.

That sounds terrific.  It's a great feeling to clean like that, I think mostly afterwards when it's all done.  Once the domicile is clean and in good order other kinds of progress and development will take place.  (Like studying the literature, writing out step work, etc.)

I know that I was really enraged with one of my clients. I prayed alot while there (three hours) I let her say what she needs to, and I try to deduce what point she's trying to make with out taking her attitude personally. So, yesterday I already made plans with my mom to help her with removing wall paper, but I was still was enraged. So I totally cleaned her kitchen refridgerator and all. So I served a need she expressed, I didn't improperly express my anger, and I still got to go home and not ruin my weekend. Until I find a better coping mechanism, and as long as it doesn't become an obsession, I'm proud of myself. Thanks for your replies. May the force be with you.

This type of post scares me. Scares me for newcomers. See them being posted over and over again.

'bout 35 years ago I ask someone to be my first Sponsor. He replied I'd loved to be Your NA Guru and Show You The Way.

We both went back out. I came back and have 31 years One Day at a Times Clean the NA Way, not following some self proclaimed Guru. He stayed out and committed suicide.

Wow Mark, way to delve into some straight up honesty. You know the right thing to do is to assure no more issues w your p.o. And probably best not to live near schools if people can publicly view your record. May the force be with you.
