Retrain your brain.

You wouldn't think it, but everytime I hit a speaker meeting, I leave feeling like using. I know it's not the rooms... It's me. It's that my brain doesn't want to remember the hospitalizations. But does anyone know how to overcome this?

Euphoric recall is the term for what you are experiencing.
But you will not have to worry...just for today..
i thank you for your honesty..
know well that as long as you sharing your feelings of wanting to use, they shall pass.
That fact is an accepted given in our Worldwide Fellowship....and it....honesty...is the baseline of our Universal Recovery Program...
keep coming back,,,, it works....

Prayer and meditation on the gifts your HP has given you
now that you are drug free.
Some speakers can't help but glorify the using days.
Kinda out to prove how bad there addiction was so they over due the using part,
and jump into recovery without sharing too much about the painful disaster their life was
when they first entered the program.
conscious contact with the God of your understanding keeps one safe.

Now that I've hit my 4step, I've been making time to meditate. I have alot of practice a head of me. Also, I've upped the number of step/tradition meetings and have my homegroupcas the meditation/eleven step meeting on Saturday mornings. Thanks avid :)
