Hi Dave,, remember this from 2005 ?

Raman,I am also in recovery for 20+ years and a musician.  I played some music (harmonica) during my using days with some garage bands, but it wasn't much.  I continued playing harmonica for myself in recovery, and then, 6 years ago, keyboards, and more recently, singing.  Music in recovery is wonderful!  It is a great emotional release for me and a spiritally moving activity.  I enjoy music probably as much as anything else I do in recovery short of making lover with my wife.  I have a son (age 8) and I am teaching him the piano.  That's cool.  I have other hobbies in recovery too, such running, biking, and martial arts.

I am glad you are back into music.  Maybe we can jam some time.

to red your post that might give me some hope where alli cann feel is despondant
not able to leve the house due to fear i can come her and find some recovery i wanna curl up and whitther away
then the one thing i have faith in i read is beig bashed which this suffering addict needs no reason to be angry with god
i need to know he is here cause if he isn't nor am i ppl say they are openminded yet want to change something thats not broke relally set me off i don't know why but it does
those shares can hurt a recovering addict when all we have tohold onto is the faith tht my defects of charecter can be removed and he will hold my hand in doing so religion and politics should not be brougt to an NA forum period
