Today we are celebrating 5 years clean! Seems impossible that I could get 5 days much less 5 years without using. I want to thank the fellowship, my home group, my sponsor, and my higher power for helping me find a life with living. Today, despite.a whirlwind circling my daughter, I am profoundly grateful......
I remember FIVE YEARS seemed like an impossibility, an unattainable feat, a mountain too high to climb, something my new in Recovery mind just couldn't fathom. Yet One Day At A Time all things are possible! You are a Testament to NA Works IF You Work It.
For me that's when the Program really started hitting the gut level and I finally started to believe I deserved this Better Way of Life. Now I'm thinking 50 Years Clean very doable, yeah shootin' for a half Century Clean, less than 19 to go! The biggy will be keeping this gittin' old fart alive.
