I'm Back..

I'm losing hope, but not hopeless.

This isn't the first time i've tried to get clean. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I've [tried to] quit a hundred times.

The last date I used was March 25th.

Doesn't matter if I say it anymore, only matters if I feel it. I want to stay clean.

I'm in an outpatient program, but that won't be forever (or even much longer). I did this for myself this time around... That's what's different.

This is me reaching out,

confuse HELP!

NA works if you work it. It's highly suggested you give yourself a break and hit 90 meetings in 90 days. Put your recovery first and the rest will follow.

I tried to quit a many times too but it never lasted very long. I was only able to stay stopped when I started going to NA meetings and following directions. You do have hope. You don't have to use again.

Welcome PJAMMY!

THE ONLY REQUIREMENT FOR MEMBERSHIP IS THE DESIRE TO STOP USING(3RD TRADITION) Check you got that.!!!..But ain't no magic bullet, time to also do some work.1st is the emotional acceptance of utter defeat and acceptance(1st STEP) WE suggest Narcotics Anonymous meetings as a way to understand what we suffer from,a physical ,spiritual and mental disease that manifests itself in all areas of our lives.Im sure you know even when you put the substance down (for a minute) there are driving forces(obsession and compulsion) that lead US back to the downbound train,.WE have all been there.WE ,Narcotics Anonymous offers a program that works if you work it based on our evidence. You have taken a first great step, the plea for a hand.WE always suggest making a meeting, listening for a sponsor, listening to learn and  LEARNING TO LISTEN(ANTS IN THE PANTS SYNDROME :)getting into our SOLUTION the steps worked  with a sponsor, and applied in the actions and thoughts and bhaviors  of your life.  CHANGE is what we are seeking...........WE have a message of hope and a promise of freedom. Please join us and you can begin to find that 'NEW WAY TO LIVE" CLEAN AND FREE FROM ACTIVE DRUG ADDICTION.THE REST COMES WITH DAILY WORK..hOPE TO HEAR BACK FROM YA .pEACE.smile

relapse is a part of many stories in na. there are many people who now have years of clean time who have a drawer full of white key tags
keep coming back is my sponsors favorite expression.
It really does work.

Welcome PJAMMY , NA works if you work it as hard as you worked chasing drugs . I had to put all into recovery each and everyday to have got 7 years plus clean. Those using for 39 years took a lot of life out of me .I'm glad I found NA and great people like here at MIP.

Welcome home. March 25th... that was my clean date until I stopped working the program, stopped going to meetings, and decided that alcohol wasn't a drug. I only took the suggestions that I wanted to take, I didn't get a sponsor, I didn't work the steps, I didn't call anybody (ever). I found excuse after excuse to stop going to meetings completely... I didn't do a damn thing except for drink, thinking that if "alcohol never lead me to drugs before, why would lead me to drugs now?". Drinking alone got bad for me, and it did lead me to use- right back to hell. I say this to say... hang onto that clean date, hang on tight- life only gets better in NA, and life only gets worse when we use. Keep coming, dont use **no matter what**, you are worth it! :)
