Really glad to find this online forum. I wanted to post something, so here are some notes I took from meetings I went to back in 2000 when I got clean:
§Repetition strengthens so repeat good things.
§Go to any length to stay clean.
§Do whatever it takes.
§Introduce a new element when you get sick and tired.
§Addiction will tell you not to use the tools.
§Recovery will lead you to good energies.
§Relapse is possible no matter how long you've been clean.
§Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.
§Eliminate all negativty from your psyche.
§Always ask for help when it's needed.
§Some days are better than others.
§Some days are hot and some are cold.
§Feel good because you're working on recovery all the time.
§Breathe.Breathe deep and slow.
§There is sometimes a battle with willingness.
§You have to put in, it won't be handed to you.
§Action leads to results.
§The victory belongs to all of us.
§Face responsibilities, the sooner the better.
§Do something different.
§How/where will you be with your decision in 5 years?
§Trust in the good outcome.
§Have no arguments, internal or external.
§Stop it before it gets too large.
§Say thanks.
§When you're going through hell, don't stop!
§Give up the high cost of low living.
§God and Angels are with us every single moment.
§Be grateful every day for being clean.
§The unseen members are here, right now.
§Make that small effort, then do more.
§Do the next right thing.
§The burden is lifted.
§Try it with faith.
§Don't let anything take your serenity.
§Don't even think about using.
§Prayer defeats temptation.
§Get peaceful.
§What do you want more than anything else?
§Your recovery network spans across the world, everyone supports you.
§God got you clean for a reason.
§Work from a positive self-image, a "can-do" mindset.
§Feelings aren't necessarily reality, especially if they're the voice of addiction.
§Think about consequences.
§Read the NA basic text to get inspired.
§Be glad.
§It's in God's hands.
§There's a lot of great stuff up the road, hang in there.
§Work on being even more grateful than you are right now.
§Take lotsa time to read recovery material, let yourself feel it.
§Stop and pray, meditate throughout the day and night.
§Work the steps.
§Your ship is not the only sinking ship, rescue yours and you'll rescue the others too.
§Take a break when needed, don't always push recovery efforts so hard.
§You are bigger than addiction is.
§If you don't feed addiction, it dies.
§You either grow or you go.If you're not growing, you'll go out and use.
§Stay with it, don't allow yourself to slip up.
§Waking up clean and going to bed clean is a comfort like no other.
§See the longview.
§You can't ever go out and use, addiction will take over again.
§Relapse is too easy, look out!
§Make positive affirmations all the time; "I am clean and will stay clean."
§Abstinence is a miracle, don't shortsell it.
§Life isn't perfect all the time, that's ok.Don't use over it.
§A mistake never means it's the end.
§Fear: False Evidence Appearing Real.
