Guidance

Pill Addicted for the better part of 6 yrs. I have no idea who I am sober. I feel alone and beaten by my addiction. Keeps pulling me back even with the cry, screaming, puking, the cold sweats it doesn't matter. It's never satisfied. I need guidance on where to go, how to be but most importantly how to beat the demon before I'm forever lost to it. I'm sure we all know where opiate addiction leads to. Pills stop working a year ago and I'm craving for something stronger. I'm just glad I don't know anyone who sells heroin.

Welcome.

My name's Mike, I'm a grateful Recovering addict. If you are like us one is too many and a thousand never enough. I used to live and lived to use. Before finding NA I tried quitting many ways. Religion, self-will, 6 months in-patient in a theuraputic community, shrinks, jails, prosecutor diversion programs and on and on.

Nothing work for any length of time until in desperation I sought help in Narcotics Anonymous. And even then I went to 2 and 3 Meetings a day everyday loaded before and after. Went to meetings loaded everyday for three weeks before the Miracle Happened one night during an NA Meeting and by the Grace of my Higher Power whom I choose to call God through the Power of NA a terrible weight was lifted. I finally fully surrendered and was given a Choice, I no longer had to use. I NO LONGER HAD TO USE! I didn't have that choice before. And by the Grace of God through the Power of NA I've been Clean One Day at a Time for 31 years.

Give yourself a break, go to 90 NA Meetings in 90 days. The Miracle can happen for you too.

Keep Coming Back!

Welcome! I started going to NA meetings when I realized that I had a problem with drugs and alcohol that I couldn't fix by myself. NA has helped me to stay clean and given me my life back. I hope you give it a try.

Welcome Mike,
Sounds like you need to detox.
by calling the na helpline in your area and reaching out to those in the program, I'm sure there will be
people who can help you find a facility to help clear the drugs from your system.
Then it's go to meetings, go to meetings, and go to some more meetings.
Speak up. Introduce yourself and ask for help.
we have all been where you are right now. It seems like you can never get clean, but you can.
Surrender to the fact that you can't do this on your own.
There are many who will seek to help you.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing.,

after a good detox off those pills....remember that you wont have to do it again as long as you dont pick up and use. ONE IS TOO MANY AND A THOUSAND TRUELY IS NEVER ENOUGH! But the good news is you don't have to do it alone if ya dont want to...!!! GO AFTER WHAT YOU WANT... YOU'll FEEL SO MUCH BETTER... BUT YOU GOTTA GET THERE FIRST.
