I can truly identify with Holiday periods not always being merry and full of cheer. For years ,as I was caught in the grip, absent from life, compulsed and obsessed by getting the next one, ALL about me, the CORE of our illness "self-centeredness" taking front stage for everything in my life.....Today through God's grace(unmerited favor )the application of the spiritual principles of our program,Narcotics Anonymous, guided by the God of my understanding I know longer live like that. I will, to the best of my ability, reach out to someone today who may need a hand ,which in turn gives glory to my Higher Power and helps me in my journey. IF YOUR NEW HERE TODAY,JUST COMING AROUND OR JUST COMING BACK,pick yourself up,dust yourself off and know that admission ,surrender and willingness to find a new way to live is available.Give yourself a gift of "life" by showing up today, ready for some work on an inside job.WE are here for each other HOPE to see ya!! peace in God ...............

Our purpose is to remain clean, just for today, and to carry the message of recovery.
I remember bringing a plate of my mom's beautiful gourmet feast over to my drug dealer. I told her my friend had no money and no Christmas with family to celebrate which was true. Obviously I was just really excited to have an excuse to leave and get high on Christmas.
Christmas Day is my clean date now. I will be 5 ;)
