looking back on 2011: its been up and down, forwards,backwards. stressfull and calm...it looked something like this...i ended a long time relationship, my oldest son got married, then he left for afganistan, i went to rehab, i got sober again,became homeless, i had gullbladder surgery, found out i had cancer, got baptized, had 4 more surgeries, lost a really good friend to cancer,and a couple to addiction,have been with my daughter and my grandkids for an extended visit, my son came back from afganistan, have had a thanksgiving with my family celebrated my grandaughters 8th birthday with her for the first time ever, get to see and hug my oldest son tomorrow, get to spend a christmas with my grandkids, get to be here for my daughter because she needs me. and i will be ringing in the new year 2012 with my grandchildren and my daughter and her husband...it's been quite a journey in 2011...and i wouldnt change a thing. these things that happen make me the person i am today...everything is a blessing...EVERYTHING! 

i am still clean today...but one thing i DID NOT expect when i stopped using, was that life was going to be PERFECT...and boy i have to say i am completely relieved that i have learned to turn my life over to a power greater then myself and to walk me thru stuff like this today. guiding me in my recovery and my life...it's a beautiful thing...n.a. has given me the path of connection to my higher power...God!  had to get this out to people of my own kind if ya know what i mean.  thanks!
