A Simple Gesture

Morning ,blessings of this day!

While doing some morning spiritual readings, I came across very similar statements from totally different writings.  One writing says" everyone can be great, because anyone can serve, you don't need a college degree or your subject and verb to agree ,you only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love.......  And another says "if you have encouragement by being united with God, comfort from God's love, fellowship with the spirit, then make it complete by being like minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.Do nothing out of selfish conceit or ambition but in humility considering others over yourself. Each should not look toward your own interests but also that of others .

Life has been really stepping up its whirlwind in my own personal life as of late and I find myself stepping back and knowing as I am willing to serve(God ,others )my STUFF ,doesnt seem so "life shaking and I do find joy being in God's space.Yes it is real, for me, when I am weak ,then I am strong..Our primary purpose is to stay clean, just for today and carry the message of recovery ,but I still firmly believe, our ultimate primary purpose is to be of maximum service to God(of our own understanding ) and others.when I am there ALL IS WELL! Thanks for allowing me to share in my own recovery..Sometimes I just need to really keep it simple and get out of that vast universe between my ears  :)......Have a blessed and productive day!!smile

It's amazing how good we can feel about life and ourselves when we put the emphasis on others.
Self serving agenda's had been all I was about for most of my life.
And for most of my life I was miserable.
I am hardly the most generous person I know, but I am also no longer the "it's all about me" guy I used to be.
What a relief! What a gift!!....The letting go of my self will has freed me in ways I never dreamed possible.
I learned about this stuff from going to meetings and working the steps.
It's why I keep coming back!
