Good Morning! Thanks for asking. Although I started my recovery journey in January of this year, I just celebrated 90 days clean yesterday. It took me a bit to truly give up my will and become willing to work the program as suggested: All 12 steps, in order, with a sponsor. Not done yet but am working on it. I have a sponsor, she is taking me through the steps. I attend meetings daily, have started chairing a meeting, and reach my hand out to the newcomer. I am learning who I am, at age 52 no less, and for the first time in a long time, I can say I like the person I see. When I look in the mirror today, I see a recovering addict, no longer the sad, hopeless active addict I had become. Thanks to my Higher Power, the fellowship, and the 12 steps, I am becoming a better me than I even imagined. Getting kinda hard to type, my "recovery kitty" just jumped up on the desk and is chasing my fingers. Have a great day & Peace

Wooooooooooot!!! Way to go!!! 90 days is HUUUUUGE!!! I remember that... and being able to do some service work on top of it?! Spectacular! That's what helped me to "keep coming back" because I felt I owed it to the group to be there to chair the meeting every week. (plus, I was the secretary, so I had to open up, make coffee, set out literature, get chairs set up, etc)
Outstanding! Yes, 90 days is HUGE!!!!!!!!! Imagine...no drugs for 3 months. Really makes you believe that you can live drug free. Anyone else out there? C'mon y'all...give us a shout!
