Some members of this board seem to think I have censored their posts.  I have done no such thing.  Maybe there are automatic settings on this board or there was some other technical issue, but if this happened, I know nothing about it.

I accepted this responsibility a few months ago when our previous moderator stepped down and it didn't look like anyone else was stepping up.  I will gladly pass on this responsibility to someone else if they are interested.

I want to apologize to Dave and the forum members for my harsh comments earlier.
I have been a little full of myself lately and it has come out in a number of ways, this being just one .

Thanks Advid for the apology and explanation.

 

Daves been doing a great job and if I didn't think he was sensible I wouldn't have allowed him to take on the position.

 

I haven't really stepped down more like stepped back smile my business has picked up for the summer well actually buisness has picked up all this last year or so since I went full time with my own business LOL anyhow i'm around to post now and then and to help if needed. I needed someone to help keep an eye on the board if I went away for a few days and someone that could have editing abilitys on the board just incase and I thank Dave from the bottom of my heart and a few others who contacted me willing to help out, but I think few is better, i've seen boards where even the moderators go at it, conflicts of too many personaltys, so thats why I just chose 1 helper.

 

Anyhoo lets see if meditation man shows back up, nothings been removed and i dont know what the SPAM notice is that he got ?

Don't sweat it Dave, thanks for serving. There will always be those who cast stones at those giving freely of their time and resources in service. Ususally the same ones too full of themselves to even help put chairs away after meetings. Ain't gonna change, but fortunately in NA it's more a minority than majority. Atleast as far as those who stick around in Recovery any length of time.

I don't know why it was flagged, but maybe because I had a url in it to a TV News here where I live. The post was the 2nd post I think to hey you by Liz. I am not sure what I said, only know that she is struggling and wanted to help.

I believe it was a automatic flag and it said that it needed to be approved but it was considered spam unless it was approved. So I thought since I waited a few days, seeing others reply to her thread and mine never showing up, that you all considered me to be someone who spams. I felt that I didn't need to be around if that was or is the case. Here is the url to her post but my post still isn't there

 Hi Liz!

I'm so glad that you are still Alive.  Some of us never make it back.  About a month ago here where I live a young lady of 40's was with a few people.  She wanted a hit of dope (meth) which they gave to her.  Well, she ended up dead!  Now her sister who was there at the time and this other guy that administered the drugs to her are now facing murder charges.  You can check it out here

Hey Meditation Man,, what comes to mind after seeing that video is that these video messages can carry a powerful message.
The message is that things havent changed in regards to what drugs do;; jail, institutions and death..

However, the Basic Text of NA also states very clearly that addicts can be threatened, counselled, beaten up, locked up, treated etc.etc.et. but unless there,s a desire to stop using, using wont stop...
