Welcome Barry. I have found for myself, when I finally decided to truly surrender myself to God's will, one day at a time, my life has improved. I have had a few bumps in the road, but as long as I stay clean and sober, just 24hrs at a time, it works out infinitely better for me. The serenity prayer has become my mantra, and I am really working on learning how to live it. I hope you can find what I have found here and also in the face to face meetings I attend...hope, faith, and peace. They make my life so much better than using ever did. Yes Barry,, welcome. "Surrender to win" is a old slogan that Id forgotten. Thanks for reminding me that surrendering to Gods will is victory over my defects and shortcomings ..

Thanks for your post!! I have just joined this site today and have recently started going to more NA meetings. I have several attempts to stay clean in AA and what I am realizing is my lack of true surrendering in the past and my lack of truly seeking the God of My understanding. I had to fire the God of my mother and my childhood and hire a new God. It feels great to surrender so far.
