Na service guidelines

I am new to the NA way of life! I live in a small town! I had 3 years of revovery then I relapsed! I started my recovery journey in Alcoholics Anonymous to whom I will b forever grateful!  My dillema is that I want to serve the NA program by knowing the NA way to do that! There are a lot of anti AA arguments in my area! I have read some literature on na,org about this issue! I want to concentrate on the atmosphere of recovery for the newcomer! please help I am open to any suggestions!

Welcome. All I can suggest is going to meetings, working the steps, learning the traditions, and getting involved in service. There are many ways to get involved in service. Service starts at the home group level. You can greet people, especially newcomers. You can help to open and close meetings, chair meetings. You could service as a secretary, treasurer, or group service representative for your home group. You could also get involved in H & I (hospital and institutions), which brings information about NA to people who are in jails, prisons, hospitals, or treatment facilities. You can sponsor people. The anti-AA stuff is garbage. If you read the NA literature, it makes it clear that while we do not endorse outside fellowships (such as AA) we also cooperate with them. The NA literature talks about NA, but is definitely not anti-AA. Read the chapter on tradition six from IT WORKS: HOW AND WHY. Clearly, some people in NA are anti-AA but that is their opinion and they should keep it to themselves. I have attended both AA and NA over the years and I am grateful to AA for helping me in recovery. I conside myself an NA person however.

AA is an outside issue and should be treated as such.
If you want to recover in NA then just do it.
AA need not be a factor, one way or another.
