Anyways,, I trudge along to the Temple at the top of the hill.
Im reminded that the Steps are the solution.
Along the way is a dedication to The Cobra; this symbolizes the understanding that most things in life are not seeable, especially the future, but like the Cobra, we can read The Vibes !!
I learnt long ago that feelings need to be recognized in order to stay sane !!!!
The Cobra shows me how to feel,, even without seeing !!!!
then some office work to sort out stuff,,and all the while Im hoping for freedom from financial worries.
this is one area in my life thats really testing my faith, common-sense and wisdom.
The last thing I want to do is prove that old adage true,,,, you know,,, the one that says
"A fool and his money part company easily"
Been doing an inventory on my spending habits and attitude towards money...
What came up is that Id have been better off and truly free of fear if Id not bought many of the things i did. I accept that my dis-ease was having a field day. And now Im left with calls and calls from credit companies reminding me to pay up !!!
(hmmmmmm,,, this too shall pass ,, I know,,, but when ???)

Its 6.30 pm and Im off to the meeting now. 5 miles away in chaotic traffic and looks like a storms coming up but Im going anyway.. COME HELL OR HIGH WATER !!!!hahaha Then spend some time at the meeting after meeting and hoopefully recover from last weeks hectic schedule..

Right on Raman and you have a lovely daughter and a good life, but.
I think many of us suffer from a little depression, maybe the drug use, maybe just a form of mental illness due to God knows what, but the maker heals and this too shall pass, usually in just a short time, we dont let it fester and boil we do something like and as you did. We get into some action, get that brain chemistry moving and flowing, then we be ok.
Vin,, Im finding that walking and pushups and the like are good for my mental health..... Used to swim a lot, but am now avoiding swimming pools because of the chlorine treatment side effects.
Im greatful to have u both in my recovery !!!
That meetin I attended is rowin and we had about 15 of us there tonite.. Higher Powered... considering that there was times some months ago when two or three would be there !!!

Thank you for taking me on a walk in your shoes and through your world. I viewed the post yesterday when you were up to the cacaphony of cars. Came back this am and see the cobra, your beautiful daughter, and more of your world. I love that all these miles away here in the Pacific Northwest, I can go to your neck of the woods. I was in a meeting the other day where someone shared that the still struggling addict today may be me , may be you, so be sure to listen, and to reach out and help when you can, ask for help when you need it. Especially these days,, just after my 50th birthday,, im tryin to find new meanings in life. And this includes movin away from the tried and tested and going into new ventures,, if only to survive and grow a bit....
Thats when recovery family and recovering friends and family matter the most.... Goddamn it,,, whats this ?? Male menopause blues or something ??? Im sure wishing this cloud will pass soon....
Thanks indeed nezyb... yes,,,the sufferings always there,, in one form or another.
But because of the Steps, im not sufferin because of my suffering and see it as part and parcel of living life on life's terms.
Im not exempt from "life's taxes",, so to say.
That said however, Im confounded when I think I can solve it on my own, but am raced with Serenity, Courage and Wisdom when I take yall into confidence !!!
