My Sobriety

I'm so happy to be alive,

Staying clean is how I survive,

I can't believe how good I feel,

I have ups and downs and it's not a big deal,

I enjoy the sunsets and the singing birds,

It's more than I expected I'm at a loss for words,

I often wonder why it took so long,

It does't matter for now I belong,

I'm a clean member of society,

I have so much to give this you can believe,

I want to give backwhat I have learned,

I truely care and I'm very concerned,

If I could help in any way,

It might be as simple as somethingI say,

I will never go back to the life that I've lead,

This is the truth that is what I have said,

Better yet you can watch me grow,

I will never let my sobriety go,

It's taken me so long to get here,

I love my my life and really do care
