My name is Amanda, I was addicted to hydrocodon about 4 years ago and did suboxone therapy then and was clean since. Up until last October when I hurt my foot. I Was prescribed tarmadol when I asked for non narcotic pain pills. I had no idea tramadol was so addictive. After going through about 50 tablets in about 6 daysand suddenly getting cut off I realized how addicted to them I was. I'm now on suboxone therapy that is VERY closely monitored. It really seems to be working except for how how I'm craving when I get tired or stressed. I would love to just pop a couple pills and have all my energy back! Looking forward to stopping that thinking!

Welcome Amanda.
Your in the right place.
Ours is a program of complete abstinance from all drugs.
Many in the rooms of Narcotics Anonymous tried substitute therapies but only found true freedom when all mind and mood altering substances were stopped.
I would suggest you go to some meetings, introduce yourself to the groups and ask women for help.
Many have taken this journey before you.
You never have to use again.

Welcome Amanda!

We subscribe to abstinence from all mind altering mood changing chemicals ,but we suffer from the disease of "addiciton" a physical, mental and spiritual illness that permeates throughout all areas of our lives. We suggest making meetings, learn about the disease, follow suggestions and direction and join us in a "new way of life" free from active addiction,a day at a time.Stick around ,we need you!         peacesmile

Have you gone to any NA meetings? You will find much experience, strength, and hope there. Keep coming back.

Welcome! You are truly in the right place..this is a program for solution seekers..and if you want to do something about your problem - this is for you.."we" can't do it alone - suggestion - go to a meeting - get numbers (people who are not using and found a new way of life) get a book and start seeking "how" we do this -It can work for you too..It is true - eventually - we hope - that you will stop using all together - you won't know if you are in pain if you don't stop..

I talked to my therapist and she suggests me stay on the suboxone another month or 2 then tapering if I'm still feeling strong! So I'm gonna try to push tapering sooner because I'm really ready to be off everything, just trying to use my tools when I get frustrated...
