this is All new to me

Hello. My name is Nicholas. I'm 34 years old. I've been addicted to cocaine since I was 17. I've been messing with this website for a week. February 15th I decided( my wife said she would Leave me) to quit. I've tried tried in the past to give it up, but with little or no success. I've lost many jobs, friends, wives, family members due to that wretched addiction. I'm done running away from what I've always know I needed to do to quit successfully. I would appreciate any help or guidance. Any meetings or sponsors in the san antonio, Texas area who could help me would be greatly appreciated feel free to contact me. My email addredd is : nicthedragon@hotmail.com. Thank you.

Welcome Nick.
You never have to use again.
The best way to get off and stay off drugs is through Narcotics Anonymous.
go na.org and click on the link "find a meeting"
I suggest you first go to the "area helplines" section.
enter your zip code and call the number that comes up
or go directly to "meetings in your area" and enter your zip for a list of local meetings....these lists may be a little out of date so calling the helpline first is best.
Go to a meeting and ask for help. It's that simple.
You'll be amazed at the response you get.
People WILL reach out to you.
The journey you are about to take is not easy, but it is simple.
Go to meetings, read NA literature, find your higher power, get a sponsor and work the steps.
Do that every day and you never have to feel this way again.
Keep coming back my friend.
It really does get better.

I trully agree with you we all got to try something new in our life and being an addict i really am glad I tried something new and that is to become sober, cuz theres more to life than drugs but you will never know if your using cuz its only one thing that is important while using and that is to find your next hit. But when your sober theres hella things to explore out here.
