Strange thing to eat

SO a little off topic biggrin im just curious what strange things you really like to eat?

Ok so heres mine, it makes some people squirm, I love Ox tail, YEP the cow tail. It comes chopped up at each joint, yes its skinned and a little trimmed of fat . I buy the whole tail cut up from tip to butt , I then slow cook it in mamas garden Ragu sauce for about 6 hours in slow cooker. It has the most delicous meat and FAT, meat with the bone always tastes best to me, has the best flavor and especially when its covered in fat, soooo yummy, I make some pasta and drivel the pasta with the sauce , the sauce is so full flavored but this is a very fatty dish, but also loaded with flavor. ox tail is a little pricy but oh so worth it I get 2 meals from one tail but i'm gluttunous doh

Ox tail was a big lunch food in a place I worked about 10 years ago....It was bought at a Jamaican grocery. Spicey, made with rice. Not a favorite of mine, but I tried it.

yummy! Oxtail! Yeah, I had it with rice too... not alot of meat, but the heat did make you forget that. The sauce in the rice was great...

I like all kinds of different things... I do a venison sausage (all homemade) then make little breakfast pizzas (split hard-boiled eggs on it, feta cheese, mmmmmm) and one thing we LOVE is scotch eggs (Hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage, then deep fried!) and I have been doing alot of traditional German pastries with new twists... trying fresh organic fruits in them...

We love to cook & try new things here in Vermont. Ever tried fresh organic milk? Sweet & thick! Yum! I tried soy yogurt yesterday...not as bad as I mighta guessed.

The chef is doing a seafood bisque (yeah, we have a chef who comes to the sober club here a few times a week and we get to try some AWESOME things!) on Friday.

I've never tried it, but if it's anything like prior meals, it'll be AWESOME!

But don't tell anyone... my secret sin is deep fried snickers (or mars) bars... batter dipped... ya gotta try that!

Peace, love, chicken grease!

My grandmother makes the oxtail into a delicous soup, cant stop eating it but the jamaican way sounds excellent.

Ed this last summer I did some work on an organic raw milk dairy, I haven't drank milk in years because I am whats called lactose intolerant, well I found out raw milk has the lactates that I dont have in my body to digest the homogenized milk and that I can drink raw milk without any harmful effects. Its pretty expensive so I haven't made it a habit but i'm loving being able to have a little milk now and then.

I'm getting ready to do some kidney stew soon, got the recipe from my mom, she used to make it with a nice mushroom gravy and put it over mash tatters. Dont let me get started on my favorite soup, Menudo, oh man I love beef stomach(tripe), aww
