We have a new group starting here and we have decided to find the best comments to be shouted out during the readings... however, most of the good ones I know are AA related...
They must be funny!!
For example (Sought through Prayer & Medication... OOPS! )
"'At some of these we balked ... ' (Bawwwk! Bawwwk! Bawwwk!)"
"Are these extravagant promises? H*ll no! (We think not!)"
What?(an order?) I Can't go through with it? BULLSHIT!!! (one of my favorite ones!!)
Well, here's MY take on it after 22 years of continuous sobriety. Have a sense of humor! Just because you don't think it should be funny, I know I needed to laugh.
And funny enough, it was those comments that came to mind whenever I started to get squirrly in the head.
I guess we will have to create our own comments as we go along...
A buddy of mine in the meetings is constantly adding his own version to things, says them out load and gets lots of laugh but he does it too often and I am going to say something about it but this things not a joke, though we do need to keep some levity, most of the readings need to be taken real serious.
I went into a meeting really irratable the other night and got real irritated by some of the comments, I realized it was ME who had the problem, if something makes me upset theres probably something going on inside of me, thats where i need to look first when restless irratable and disconnected, OOPS discontented
