Finally after missing my anniversary date on December 2nd due to a tick borne illness I celebrated life at my homegroup NEW DAZE, 26 years ,59 days,free from active drug addiction.(still working on rest of disease day at a time)Sharing with other addicts really stirred up the feeling of hope and the knowledge that the program really works but not by magic, by continually showing up,following suggestions,doing the work and giving back to the best of my ability,all bring the newcomer the realization that the attraction of staying clean becomes a reality ,a day at a time,and our message of hope and promise of freedom of active drug addiction becomes their message.I am truly blessed to be an active part of our fellowship and have a support group so I never again have to "do it alone".Tonight my son ,24,recovering from heroin addiction,did not go to jail and his case was dismissed.He presented me with my coin and said that hopefully he'll celebrate 26 years when I am 89,,now that I'll be looking forward to!!! :) :) God is good........................

Well my friend i dont have as much time clean as you do but I soon will be there if God is willing and I continue to chat with people like you. Im glad ur son didnt go to jail and is staying clean........... I again send my sincere thoughts and prayers with you and ur family God Bless You
