Reflecting back,can make the difference!

Morning! Woke again this morning ,house was 52 degrees, pipes gelled up again. We moved into this house in August after we sold our home where we lived for about 25 years.lOVE OUR RENTED HOUSE FOR NOW,BUT BACK TO OIL HEAT(HAD NATURAL GAS,EXPENSIVE,BUT NEVER RAN OUT!)Anyway, when I think back to the times I would "come to" in the back of my old station wagon ,that barely ran,or some basement of a friends covered with canvas tarp or freezing in an apt cause had no $$$ for heat ,wasn't top priority, using was,I feel so grateful knowing that these are temporary setbacks, where as my previous life in active addiction was just going to continue to get worse.By reflectiong on the grace of God and how blessed we are it really puts perspective on the "trials" we have while living clean.Don't get me wrong, trials are still trials, but in recovery ,situations can be dealt with sanely and have us moving toward solutions and not destuctive behaviors. When it gets "rough" I really just look around and know that I am blessed, working my process, remaining in God's arms and knowning things could always be worse.THEY WERE!!!!  hAVE A BLESSED AND PRODUCTIVE DAY!!

Yup old using living accomodations were not exactly top shelf: where ever on the streets, car when had a car, a cave for a while, condemned house with no water or electricity (moved out when torn down to build a new jail), didn't matter as long as kept in drugs. Today currently face lots of financial challenges, but they are just that challenges not insurmountable obstacles or heavy weights beyond bearing to run from. Learning to deal with stuff is one of the bonuses of the program.
