I came to N.A. for the last time i started my steps and worked thoroughly and accurately with the steps. You have to be willing to do these and if not willing than do them anyway as this is a life and death program and I choose life. When it came time to do my 4th I went over the hurt and anger and feelings and sex and also lastely nice things about me and i done this 4th from March 28 to April 24th and i did these everyday and when I was downtown or in a coffee shop I wrote my inventory and when i was home i did it because i wanted to do it. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired of the old life. Than I did my 5th with my pastor and I started my 5th at 7:30 PM and finished at 6:30 Am the next day and that was being brutally honest and left nothing out and that was in 2001 and I am clean and sober since January 01/01 an not had a desire to use or drink and never even had it on my mind and I stopped smoking the same day as my clean and sober dates. I would advise you talk to your sponsor get the N.A. step book and work on it right now and don't procrastinate or did you have enough.
Lol Mike, I wouldnt call him a thumper how about a step nazi ? LOL hear that one a lot more in AA, the programs layed out the way it is for a reason, IT WORKS if you WORK IT . I hear some, just a few people say how they work there OWN PROGRAM I say good luck with that, thats what I did for a long time and got the same results, nothing changed, we're in a place where everything has to change half stepping and sitting on the fence aint goon get it this takes work and more work and a continued willingness and desire .
So if you aint got it you aint got it and time, situations, failed attempts will eventually get you to that jumping off point, or you'll just die, go insane or end up institutionalized.
