If you would just reflect with me for a moment, my son and his girlfriends baby didn't make it..She was supposedly 6 weeks but we all thought she was farther along. No blood flowing through or heartbeat or movement.Obviously as parents we have mixed emotions. Both kids were on 110/80 mg's respectively of Methadone and smoked heavily..Both are upset and will hopefully use this as a stepping stone to cleaning their own bodies of the toxics and move forward in recovery free from all substances... I continue to pray they are holding no reservations in their programs to put them back in the horrors of active addiction. Of this I am powerless and turn all over to the care of my Higher Power... I reflect on the still sick and suffering and the babies born to the disease and will continue to work toward carrying our message of hope and our promise of freedom from active addiction through our process....In my God I continually trust..It is ironic as earlier I wanted to share about some work stuff that has got me in a dither but it all seems so incidental now..In recovery we will still face "life on life's terms situations,I thank my God that I am able to accept what I cannot change and continue to move forward in hope, trust and God's grace a day at a time..Thanks for allowing me to take part in my continued recovery and knowing "we" do this together!!

Warm wishes and prayers for your entire family Mike. I understand about the mixed feelings, but I know you rest easy with the knowledge that God has worked His will and so all is for the best. May you all find strength and health. May you draw closer. Peace.
I'm so sorry for your loss Mike but I'm so inspired by your attitude. My prayers are with you and your family. Take care my friend and may you walk in God's light always.......
Oh Mike, so, so sorry. Praying your son and girlfriend find that stepping stone and use it--this will come back to haunt them both, no matter how it goes with the addiction, as I am sure you know. So sad.
