When we were growing up, all of us had dreams. Every child has heard a relative or neighbor ask, What do you want to be when you grow up? Even if some of us didnt have elaborate dreams of success, most of us dreamed of work, families, and a future of dignity and respect. But no one asked, Do you want to be a drug addict when you grow up?
We didnt choose to become addicts, and we cannot choose to stop being addicts. We have the disease of addiction. We are not responsible for having it, but we are responsible for our recovery. Having learned that we are sick people and that there is a way of recovery, we can move away from blaming circumstancesor ourselvesand into living the solution. We didnt choose addiction, but we can choose recovery.

Morning! Before reading today's JFT my spiritual readings said "Long ago I made my lifes decision to serve God and have him choose my way;And when I've felt uncertain at life's crossroads,He's never failed to lead me ,day by day. Mycontentment comes when I want God's will more than my own!On that blessed day,Dec,2nd 1984, I had been given one last opportunity by my Higher Power, whom I choose to call God, that was to go on to the ends, jails ,institutions, dereliction or death or find a new way to live, I also through God's grace and mercy chose life. Working recovery ,day by day is that life! I am so grateful......Have a blessed and productive day!!!
