I was in a very un-acceptable situation in my old home group and had decided to take another one.. I was agonizing on how to go away in peace... I read, thought ,prayed and Meditated !!
And then it unfolds...and now Im thinking
"Whew, how differently Ive acted"
I was thinking how to let go of that bunch in my old home group with love. I get a text saying theres a busines meeting, so I go.
I ask for a moment and say to all "Ive been a member here for 8 years. Ive had good times, but now its time to move on"
I went round the room and gave each one a hug and moved on !!!
Gone is the addictive/instinctual behaviour shrouded in snubs and cold shouldering... Instead I faced em off,,,Im greatful to them in that group that still believed in me...
Im glad I let go with LOVE !!( and understanding)

Raman We all have to move on.3 years ago I had a big blowout with the queen NA bitch in our area.I told her off ,no doubt I did it in front of her kids which was not right.I apologised to the children but not there mother.I had done service in that group since I was a newcomer.I moved on to my second most favorite group,were I am happy,joyous,free.
Feel the peace,strength and hope given to us from our Higher Power as we continue to search for spiritual principles in our lives.We at times have to "love" from a distance.We can only adjust our own attitudes and behaviors and move forward.Yesterday ,after almost 2 months, I asked to speak to my son as he was speaking with his mother and told him I love him and am praying for his return to "life"I have been doing the "well I don't care syndrome,but its not me,it benefits no one and does not glorify the God of my understanding.Just another adventure in how to 'detach with love",,,I know my God is smiling and I feel lightened..I share this with you because I can identify with how the hurt and the pain of "expectations " of others can blow us out of the water when it doesn't occur.Just for today we will have a blessed and productive time serving the God of our understanding and feeling the love "so freely given!! peace my friend,thanks for the message,as always very timely for this addict....

Well, like Ive heard tell, it's allright to have expectations as long as they are grounded in reality !!! What else can I expect from a bunch of violent, gossiping addicts ??? More violence and gossip and denial.......
It's not fair to expect them to be fair !!!!yeah.....sure....

I spose Id have become a cynic if I lived in a fools world fanstasy land where all addicts that came into NA got clean, serene, honest,, caring loving and all..
this emoticon reminds me of an NA here who is always being hurt by someone or other in meetings and for many years now,,,, but still asks WHY ???
WTF else can be clear reality than a bunch of addicts behaving like that ???

My love for NA is stronger than pride, so I keep going on, doing service, at any level I can...
Im also thinking often, in reference to others actions and how group conscience gets manipulated by those who "own " the group..... Theres always the danger tha newer members will be forced to think in a certain way that suits older members, especially when those newer members began recovery as that older members sponsee or treatment centre inmate..
Facts are clear,, a group conscience was taken without reading out candidates resumes. That particular candidate wasnt even informed of the business meeting.... The tales were carried and newer members were influenced to vote in a particular way...
And I have a thought " It.s not about justice,, they want to win "....
And where is recovery ? One guys already lost a job for being dis-honest in his job, an attitude he has carried into group affairs. Another chaps relapsed and one has been in a bad emotional space....
And so it goes on,, with some older members wanting to win... not knowing the price must be paid !!!!
I thank the God of my understanding that i am not the one doing those dis-honest acts,,,

Im glad Im sying no to these gossippers,,, habitual gossippers who I thought would change over time but havent... Im sick and tired of being sick and tired with gossip,,, so Im saying NO to them that are always critising others and bearing tales...........
