today so far was a good day....i went to my brother house for awhile an he gave me a hug which is weird...my brother is def not the person who would hug...he told me he is so proud of me for trying the best i can...it felt good to hear tht from him...im living just for today.....so now im back at my moms listen to lots of heavy metal and death metal to get me thourgh the night...going to a meeting tonight..hopefully tht will go well...

All the corny stuff they used to say to me when I first got here still rings through my head. One of them is very true: Meeting makers make it!

They told me do these 5 things no matter what:

Pray in the morning for guidance to stay clean, don't use, go to meetings, talk to another addict, pray at night and say thanks for the day clean.

You got it made now!

Take each day at a time. I just celebrated 3 years and thats how I stay clean..... hugs at ya

For me, one of the great rewards of staying clean is being able to look at myself in the mirror and not feel like a pile of garbage. Keep coming back!
