i am going to colorado on the 15 th and at first i was a little stoked on the trip but as he time to leave comes i find that going out of my comfort zone and back to a place that has always been a free for all zone to me with drugs i am starting to get worried i want to go and see family and friends i havent seen in a long time i still don't want this trip to turn into a trip!!

Hey Rocky! Fears are natural and okay.Awareness is so important. Sharing your fears help alleviate some of the anxiety.I know whenever I go out of state,town etc,I always look up meeting places.Narcotics Anonymous is worldwide.When we go to Florida in September I already know where most of the rooms are in the Pompano/Deerfield/FT.Lauderdale beach area are.Its a comfort knowing Im always around support and excited to meet people from other areas working in recovery.My sponsor would probably ask ,are you taking anyone with you?(in recovery)Use the tools you have learned,trust in your Higher Power and have some good ,clean fun!!!!Remember ,you also carry the message,that an addict,any addict can stop using,lose the desire to use,and find a new way to live!!Let us know ,how you doing there,if you can,cyber space,if not we'll see ya when you get back!!peace!

I hear ya. I'm going to the mountains for two weeks in August. It's pretty remote, no internet OMG!!!!!!!!!!! LOL so yes, there is anxiety, but it will pass. Have fun, stay clean, come back. see ya'
