Just for today

Just for today We will learn to accept the NA Traditions.
Tradition 8 Pg 188,What is Narcotics Anonymous, after all, but a fellowship of
addicts freely sharing with one another the simple message of their own experience.

Just for today,we will encourage NA members to feel free to share their own experience when sharing at an NA gathering.

Just for today we will celebrate the freedom of the NA traditions.
Just for today we will Praise God for he alone guided the hands of the addicts that wrote the na traditions.

Hail to that,Rosie,,,

especially to "carry the message to the addict that still suffers"............................

This is the only phrase in the 12 Step Tradition of Na tha is repeated in both the Steps and Traditions,,,, in Step 12 and Tradition 5 !!!

If we do anything else, we will be diverted from our primary purpose and ourselves suffer !

And I know for certain that anything I do, that is not in co-operation with the Traditions, is a waste of time and precious resources.
I usually end up losing serenity and sanity,,,

So just for today, I will take heed of the message in the Traditions.

And practice those percepts in  all my affairs, in all areas of my life.

For a starter, I will again practice, conciously,  just for today  the recovery tactic called
"listen to learn and learn to listen"

Yes like our literature tells us, it seeks to explore spiritual principles within the traditions and engage members with the spirit=not the law of the traditions and provides a basis for a thoughtful discussion..smileas long as the ties that bind us together are stronger than those that will tear us apart, all will be well.

The traditions pertain to the functioning of NA groups...they are the suggested guidelines for the effective running of the group and the greater organisation of NA....

Its also a god of your own understanding and my 'god' is not really guiding anyone's hand.....that's a spiritualist belief system that has nothing to do with me and i've been clean in NA 25 years........still you are very welcome to your point of view and i respect it but don't believe it....we are a multifaceted organisation....Mike L
