My name is Dirk and I am an addict,I live in Pennsylvania, my clean date is 11/25/2009 Since that day I have not had even the slightest urge to use,in fact I'm having a harder time quitting smoking cigarettes than I did quitting my drug of choice. I try to get to meetings when I can but with my new work schedule it is hard to make a lot of them, That is why I would like to find a Phone Sponsor, just to have there incase I need someone to talk with other than my wife who has been very supportive of me. If someone out there would be willing to help out that would be great. thanks for letting me share
Welcome Dirk, I'm really glad that the desire to use has been lifted. I'm sure you and Rocky will have some great recovery conversations. I would urge you though to attend meetings on a regular basis and work the steps. You got nothing to lose.

Welcome Dirk! I hear you on your cigarette jones.By the time I quit back in 80's I was burning 3 packs a day! I'd have to take a loan now to do that.Congrats on your clean time, that is a real blessing.Way to work service Rocky, one helping another is how we do it!!let us know how its going!!I also agree try and get to regular meetings and get some outside support.

there is plenty of support on this forum but as avid suggested - Highly recommend meetings - We get caught in our daily life and forget what is really important - I see alot of folks get there life back in order and go on to day to day stuff - But what usually happens without that tight support they get miserable or they use - Meeting makers make it
