Yes it MAY BE time for an "intervention here! The disunity BEING CAUSED BY A NEWER MEMBER that has been already removed from a similar site for similar situations is conterproductive to our focus here(my thoughts).I am just another member of this forum and been holding my peace,but the disunity is getting like poison in the well.Maybe its time for the moderator!! My 2 cents but I also am not for "disagreeing by being disagreeable and disrespectful to people who are helping save my life..This in not NA,but a forum of "one trying to help another" and I am feeling the message of hope and unity is really being tested..Lets examine our hearts and pray for a quick solution.......

Inspite of me standing firm on my viewpoint that the Clarity Statement does not violate Traditions, hes been making a mess and contradicting himself.
Time to kick the guy out from here. Dont worry about hurting him, hes a spineless coward, who intrudes into serene spaces like this and ries to create havoc. The guy if full of malafide intentions and has already been kicked out of many forums for his mad tirades, so I say we kick his dirty but out of here too.

I don't know Bruce, and I've just come back but I want to make a couple of points.
Our third tradition states that there is only ONE REQUIREMENT for membership, a desire to stop using. We have no requirements as they relate to NA language.
That said, NAWS said that the Clarity Statement is NOT approved NA literature but that group autonomy applies. If a group conscience speaks in favor of a clarity statement, all is good but we still cannot command people to respect it.
Finally, in my opinion, there are good reasons for the clarity statement, a very good one being not to confuse newcomers who don't understand that in the NA program there is no difference between alcoholism and addiction. It comes down to respect for the group I'm a member of or visiting. As we begin to recover and to practice some humility we no longer need to go against the grain. We learn to respect the wishes and feelings of others.
I respect the traditions and the clarity statement however, I don't call addicts out in meetings, cause humiliation and embarassment, because they've not adhered to NA language. It's something we all learn and some of us will belligerantly hold on to our old ideas.
