Hello everyone! Today's 'Walkway across the Hudson" was a wonderful low keyed event. The media was absent(I believe it was requested)and like my friend Raman had said ,just a group of addicts from all walks and fellowships taking a 3.5 mile walk together. Thanks for everyone's input on public situations,I know for me I certainly got an opportunity to dig into all the traditions that talk about public relations etc. and actually when I go to area this week I am checking into the PI commitee and see what we have in our area..Was a blessed day ,good clean fun and fellowship.I also saw a few new faces in the 'Saturday Night Live" NA meeting .I believe I projected in my mind situations that never occurred but another learning lesson to put in the renewed brain cells!!!:) I believe we had a little over a hundred people .Joseph's house gave out T shirts that just said"I AM RECOVERY: on the front and Joseph's House on the back,no affiliation with any 12 step program(NA/AA) or other treatment program.,COOL!Talk to you on the rebound!

I'm glad it worked out MIke, There are so many addicted people out there, that events drawing media attention are inevitable. I understand where Lee is coming from, changing attitudes is important, but I see the wisdom of the founders in "attraction, not promotion". The media loves to make stars out of people. Most addicts are not so healthy that they won't scramble for their 15 minutes.
