Hey everyone!!! Well I made it to Everest Base camp and back!!! It was the greatest experience I have ever had, and brought my mom and I so close together. It was such a hard trek and there were many moments that I was using the "one day at a time" technique. I prayed so much on this trip and my higher power revealed itself to me in the most magical moment I have ever experienced. I'm glad to be home though because near the end I missed all my friends and family. I was also humbled by the need in Nepal and how great I have it in Canada. Who would of thought that clean water out of a tap is a luxury, I definitely appreciate all the very small things in life because of this trip
just thought I'd let you know that I'm home safe and sound
later
Andrea

hey I have about 700 photos from the area... plenty of everest and ama dablam :) I didn't have time to check out NA there but I definitely saw active addiction in full force ..... lots of street kids huffing gas and glue very very sad in Kathmandu ..... The Mawoist (communist political party) was causing a lot of troubles in the city, and everything was shut down for the first few days....I wish I would of been able to check it out, but I didn't really want to go off alone, and I wasn't about to inform the group I went with that I was a recovering addict :)
