Thought I share with my online NA family - today and yesterday was pretty rough for me - had to stand up for myself with my Job - I work with a bunch of men - who for some reason feel that Military means something in today Field of work - I expressed you are no longer in the military and no longer carry the status - so you still must play by civilian rules - there are no Ranks and such - Just pissed me off - as if I am not to address a particular person or question him - Because at one time he was High in ranking - by no means was it MY boss who said this but another employee - I immediatley set the record straight - What got me - was I was unable to cuss them out or revert back to my old ways - but I was confident in my speaking - but boy oh boy did I really want to let them have it. So I guess change is taking place in me - then again today - go figure - I just finished my 6th step with my sponser yesterday - What I do know that people will be people including me - that we all come from different backgrounds and upbringing - and to stay in my truth and all will be well - Glad I didn't cuss them out - truly didn't want to make an amends..Ok Now I am better (lol)

Hey Feisty! another day in the salt mines huh! The great thing is you are aware of the "change" that working spiritual principles is doing in your life.We still want to choke the person only now we don't!Standing up for yourself is also very important and the tools we learn to address issues in a sane and literate way instead of a "lunatic on the cusp of meltdown is also a positive move forward for us!We teach people how to treat us and today you gave all a "good lesson"I also had a small meltdown today,but voiced my opinion in a sane manner,freed myself and was okay.Man love these tools!See ya tomorrow,more action in store im sure,but we'll be okay as long as we "keep working!!Congrats on your 6th step,remember being entirely ready won't happen overnite its a long process taking place over your whole life...I like how 'It Works How and Why puts it"our defects are basic human traits that are distorted by our self-centeredness! us self centered!!! :)
