Today was my son's 24th birthday,clean and alive for another day.Family shared nice time with some of his friends,one just back from prison ,also working  a recovery program and another who attends intensive care program at St,Francis Turning Point with him.My son in law and my daughter shared a Sunday meal and some love and laughter. Was nice to feel the joy in the air,guarded but real.Eric only got out all his bottom teethout last week and is getting all the tops out next week.I felt this was a better situation and I prayed God would work out His plan.Eric said after the fact he was glad didnt do them all at once...Yesterday our Saturday homegroup'Men Do Recover" put on our quarterly Speaker Jam "topic" We are responsible for our own recovery"Great turnout,addicts from all parts of the state(upstate New York)I served 8 pounds of coffee and supplied "windmill cookies"(Family Dollar $1.25 pack)can't beat them for all...A spiritual occurence and another gorgeous weekend sharing the NA message of recovery.My son's girlfriend started her 5 day per week intensive care program  across the river from Eric's/Also dual diagnosis with stringent follow up.Her public assistance is now in place and looks like things are happening for her.My wife and I are looking at flights to Florida ,take some downtime and allow her to see her parents.Probably go sometime in June,only be about 120 degrees and totally humid then/I get up before sun comes out to get my runs in,real early if I go long,but then its chill by the pool and hang out.Back to the Salt mines " tomorrow and though I could think of other things to do,I am greatful I have a place to go to be able to support my family and also  serve the people I work for,which is the easy part of my job.. Anyway ,hope everyone has a blessed and productive week,the hope shot is ,tomorrow by the grace of God we have another opportunity to draw close to our HP,give someone a hand ,if only in thought and make the best we can of it,clean and serene and working toward staying there,no matter what..Some periods of life are like suspended animation and other periods there aren't enough hours..Glad to be part of both of them...
