Hello there - Just a friendly reminder you are not alone out there - This is an awesome site to receive support -My suggestion is to find the nearest NA meetings in your area - get with folks who may be able to help you walk thru this.  NA is here for you - we welcome you

Feisty made an excellent suggestion
go to the link above, and click on "find a meeting".
You will be given the option to find the meetings in your area or to get the phone number for the helpline in your area.  Using the helpline number is the way to go if your shy about just showing up or if you have transportation issues.  Someone will help you get to a meeting.
This forum is a tight knit group of recovering addicts who share their experience, strength, and hope to stay clean and find a new way to live.
You are welcome to join us.
Good luck in your recovery.

I know a guy who did meth for 15 years; he's got about a year clean from that now.
A sponsee of mine was on it for 7 years, as a substitute for other narcotics.
In five months I saw him taper off under medical suervisin and daily attendance of NA meetings and now he has about 10 months off it completely.

So, nothins impossible in this here Program.
An addict with the desire can stop using, lose the desire to use and find a new wy to live.

Know though that the only requirement for membership is desire and what we addicts used and how much we used are really of no consequence.
This 12 Steps is all about saving the lives of desperate, dying addicts !

Yes, we do recover !

Hugs accross cyberspace to you Alan,,
keep coming back, it works.
