smile    Openmindedness goes along with Honesty and Willingness.I call them the big three. You have to be honest to come through that door to recovery admitting you you have a problem and need help. You have to sit down and listen to what is being said. This involves Openmindedness to absorb what is being said and try and use it in daily life.As active addicts we listen to ourselves a lot.Using Willingness we try and adapt and change like we have learned using the tools we have learned at meetings. Most of all we have to pick phone call someone and ask for help.  smile

Open mindedness was something I thought I had but didn't.
I have a "broad minded" view. I don't care about people's sexual orientation or race etc.so I thought it made me open minded.
Nope...WRONG.
I learned that I was very close minded about my broad minded views and it hurt my recovery terribly.
It wasn't untill I was able to consider new possibilities about life, spirituality, and happiness that I began to grow in recovery.
Great question Tisa.
