Sudden shift in my thinking.

Ugh, ugh,ugh !!!!!@#$%%%%%%%%%&&&**^%$#

I was on a great wave of good feelings; had a great week, my service and family commitments are looking good and music has been great with me being seen in the newspapers after I played in an event.

Then it happens last night; shift in thinking.
I discover that the camera I wanted to take along to the Regional Meeting is gone.
I searched and searched and have concluded that it is indeed stolen.
Two main suspects .
How do I recover that camera ? How do I get the thief to confess ? etc.etc. punctuated by thoughts of how I shouldnt have left it there or how careless and unconcerned Ive been etc.

Yes, I have taken a risk and accept it, but good for me that because of Meditation, Im not really flipping over this but am turning it over.

Having hings solen is a bad feelng, Im at the recieving end of someones dishonesty.

Even in the most desperate moments in addiction, I never stole  off eople; at worst I took some stash off my using buddy.

So this is how it feels to be robbed; I hank God I dont have past guilt in this context.

Heed this warning yall;
Take good care of your possessions.
Most of all remember hat if you dont use it, you could lose it !

We are reminded when feeling badly, that "this too shall pass"
Unfortunately the same holds true for when we feel good.
Good luck in getting your camera back, but be grateful that your misfortune is so relatively minor.

Morning Raman! another of life's feelings of total helplessness.I pray you can hold off any resentments toward "suspects" without having true knowledge of what occurred.I am notorius for blaming without knowledge(getting better).It is definitely ashame that we must stay guarded in certain areas, for example,we still have trust issues with my son,and that trust will have to be "earned"You are correct ,give it to God,ask for His guidance in how and if you want to handle this and release it as the poison can start taking you apart(as you are well aware)The time when we want to choke someone is the time we should be hugging them! Man is that a 'DETAIL" that really takes work..peace my brother!!smile

I was a thief, and did not care a hoot about how the victim felt. If I was confronted, I just denied, denied, denied and went on the offensive. But once, I stole a pair of expensive new shoes from a co-worker who had left them in her locker. She knew it was me and I knew she knew.

Instead of showing anger and accusing me or demanding the shoes back, she came up to me, oh-so-sweet and innocent--and said "I think you borrowed my shoes. I'm glad they were there for whatever you needed, but I need to "borrow them back" for my dinner date tonight."

Dang..would you believe that actually worked! I don't know why, maybe because I got to save face. But I returned her shoes and thanked her for the loan! I didn't stop stealing, but I didn't steal from her again. Maybe you should just ask the guy in a non-threatning way if he borrowed your camera, because you need it back!

HeHeHe.....pretty clever girl you met there Lee.
I like her style.
You got to save face and she got her shoes back.
I can see why that worked.
But even though you kept stealing, I can't help but think that her approach would not have worked with a true sociopathic thief. Even though you were active in your addiction there was that seed of decency wanting to sprout.
Still.....ya gotta love it.
Yo Raman, if you give Lee's suggestion a try let us now how it works for ya,.

I BELIEVE IN KARMA - WHAT GOES AROUND - COMES AROUND - AND GUESS WHAT I HAVE TO DO NOTHING - THE UNIVERSE ALWAYS TAKES CARE OF EVERYTHING - AS A HUMAN I JUST HAVE TO PRACTICE LETTING GO. PEOPLE, PLACES AND THINGS - LIFE CONTINUES TO HAPPEN - JUST BECAUSE I GOT CLEAN - SHIT DIDN'T STOP HAPPENING - JUST STOPPED HAPPENING SO MUCH TO ME.  WHAT AN AWESOME LESSON TO GET TO EXPERIENCE - YOU CAN ONLY BE THE JUDGE OF THE LESSON FOR YOU - PEACE MY BROTHER
