Everybody has their own story to write

Lately - I have come to the realization that everybody truly has their own story to write -there own journey to walk - Just recently had a sponsee go back out - by choice and verbally said she wasn't ready yet - I had to be ok with that - and respect that - This person knows about NA and has played a huge part of NA - but still choose to go back out.  Physically I am done - but spiritually I am not - my job as a member of NA is to continue to share the NA message to those who want it not necessarily to those who need it - And continue to pray - When I was using I needed it but didn't want it - So Nothing has changed in that aspect -Lots of Addicts die needing NA - but few wanted it and have died.  Today I am grateful that I choose life - and that I am here for the addict who is suffering and wants NA - and for those who come back and seek life - Please keep coming back

I've been going to ca across the street from where I live for almost 2 years. Lately I havent been going like I used to. I used to go at least 2 or 3 times a week. Now I am lucky if I go any in a week. Maybe 2 times a month. The reason being is because I have committed myself to other things that are also important to me. Like 2 times a month I go to a drug counsiler. One on One. Then I go to a physiciatrist once a month. i go to a family counsilor once a week. This is new to me but I believe she will help with the problem I have at home. Then there is my case manager with mhmr and she is wonderful person who is very resoucful and is a great help. So you see I dont really have to many days open for my ca. I also have to go to the doctors once a month. Not to mention house cleaning and washing cloths and cooking ect ect ect..... Im making it. Thank God for the strength he gives me. I also go to church. I try to get on this web site yet I dont understand how to use it.

living and enjoying life,
without the use of drugs !

If I were to , Id say that from my own and what was shared by others, this Program is like an uncut diamond.
Each of us a dn I, have to cut it according to our own ideas and then make sure it works.

Thanks for the share feisty.
It must be painful to see a sponsee go back out, but you seem to have a healthy and accurate view.
Your post was timely also because I heard someone share on this topic just last night.
They pointed out that wanting the program is not enough.
One must be willing to do the work.
When the pain gets great enough, she will come back.

Rosy you seem to be doing fine here.

Not everyone's going to want this thing here and that's ok, if they want to go back out that's ok too that's WE have to surrender to that it's there journey and there choice but sometimes people need to be told that the addiction is what may be making there decisions and ask them if they want to allow THAT in there lives, no one really wants that they want to believe there in control, but often that's not the case and addiction and the disease is whats ruling there thoughts and decisions.

Hey Rosyred3..good to see you back here..sounds like you got a lot of things going on..I also pay BIG attention "to recovery at home" but know that my recovery must always come first,no matter what other things I am busy at.Part of our learning thru recovery is how to 'bALANCE ALL THE THINGS WE DO> Lately I must be having'men a pause!!I want to get back in a band again, train for another marathon attend meetings and celebrations,go to 2  other fellowships and most importantly do more work for my church...sEEMS AS IF i AM TRYING TO BEAT THE CLOCK OR SOMETHING???anyway only you know for sure what you need ,but without recovery "nothing else will happen" we all know that ..Not preachin here, just talking out loud..Keep comin back, find that balance,I know Im sure searching for it..Have a blessed day!!smile

You are exactly right - when the pain gets too tough we come back - and hopefully she will be one of the ones who gets to come back -
