Final push.

Ive had three months of glorious holiday here in Bangalore India.

Now Im into the final phase of getting my Masters. I need to first of all finish the thematic analysis and then complete the dissertation .

Then, hopefully Ill be awarded a Msc in International Events and Conferences Mangement.

Im lucky they will allow me to post my dissertation rather than be present in England for the finishing. At this junctute in my life, Im not even going to ontemplate leaving my 14 year old and my 70 year old mother alone and to fend for myself while I live in a foreign country.
So Im greatful to the tutors for granting me this facility.

And yes, Im really looking forward to completion ; many reasons for it.
Firt of all, this will give me more ammo for NA Services.
It is already evident  that my studies are underpinning many tasks that Im doing as RCM from here. Better presentation, clearer reports and overall Higher Perspectives.
Im hoping to be a better presenter of my own events and also be a consultant and lecturer.

For Gods sake, imagine an addict like me, who could not even write one full sentence without being distracted do this.

Like they say in the Text,  "dreams do come true in recovery".
And by Gods Grace, I certainly am living my dream and being a responsible and productive member of society !

Outstanding Raman
It is important for the fellowship that recovering addicts share success stories like yours. It inspires us all.
And just think.............this is just a beginning!

SO AWESOME!!!! Good for you!

When I first was getting straight I was on welfare, raising a child, and "they" kept insisting that I could not, would not, ever amount to anything and I should go to work at McDonald's and just be grateful they could get me the job. I said NO NO NO. Then I got a BFA and a Master's and a career I am proud of. Didn't change the fact that there were, and are, struggles in recovery over the years, but sure did make me grateful that I trusted God's grace and held onto my dream rather than listen to those who said I wasn't worth it and would never make it.

Thanks Don and Vin, without your support, this aint possible.
Im trying to stay humble.

Funny Mike, how in a fashion show setting yesterday, the music I played seemed like a gratis to God,, thanks for mentioning the giving back thru music too. These event studies are showing me how to do that better than I did.

Lee, thanks for that share. Yes,,,,living and loving the NA Way sure beats any other way I knew.

Pretty awesome! you know they say addicts are the most intelligent people on the planet - You put a crack rock on an island with not lighter, no pipe -no nothing - guarantee we will figure a way to smoke it..that takes creativity, motivation, die hard determination - That is what we addicts bring to the table once we get clean - We just now have to believe that we are these things and make it happen - We are truly the chosen ones.. Congrats

Thanks Fiesty.
And youre spot on about us being the most intelligent.
Research shows that in US, Uk and many other parts of the world, employers are requesting recruiters to bring them recovering addicts !
Why ?
Cause we are naturally intelligent and thru NA we become HONEST !
Thats a great combination !!!!!
