Let go with love and understanding.

"Denial of ur dis-ease keeps us sick" it is said. Ive had experience to see addicts, especially those  Id used with, deny the disease and die an insane death. And in the meanwhile, they tortured theirselves and their families no end.

Over the years , in my own recovery, Ive become softer in my approach, learning that letting go with love and understanding is a huge process and sometimes takes a lot of effort to forgive and forget.

The Basic Text has cautions me that I have too stay emotionally detached in order to better serve NA and carry the message to the addict that still suffers.

All you can do is hope they make it back.Offer to take them to detox if they want to go.Forceing them mat drive them further away, pray to the Higher Power and hope they make it.You could also go babysit them but thats putting yourself in a dangerous place.
