If the symbolism is mostly about a past relationship that has run it's course, I can't help but think it's something you will end up regretting.
Tattoos are forever.

Manon I am afraid I have to agree w/ Avid on this one. Not about tatoo's in general but I definitely think you will end up regretting one that reminds you of a past relationship. Getting a tatoo is so much easier than having to have one removed. It's much more expensive, alot more painful & leaves an ugly scar. So, before you decide on a tatoo just make sure it won't be something you end up hating later on. I am all for tat's if it's truly what you want to do for yourself & not because someone else wants you too. Personally, I don't have any but a lot of my friends got them when we were in college & now they hate them. So, just make sure it's the right thing for you! Good luck w/ whatever you decide!

When I was around 13 or 14 all the gang did tattoo's with Indian ink and sewing machine needles.We would drink Hombre and Muscatel until in a blither and then do art.I tattooed my first wife's name Gail on both arms.Actually ,on my right arm A friend cut in the name with a razor blade and we poured ink in on my other arm..Was so deep that some of the ink didn't stay in cause kept bleeding out.Anyway obviously being married 3 times and many different relationships I was never thrilled with her name on both my arms. I actually had friends with names crossed out ,like the cartoon, and new name underneath!!!I had a professional in 1970 cover my left arm where I had  her name,a cross and Mom written,a beautiful piece of art.I also had a black panther put over the other arm where the deep half name was .also a beautiful piece of art. Before my real tats I would always wear long shirts as not to see my indian ink botch work..My faith beliefs frown on tattooing of your body so I personally pray about something like that for me although its kind of after the fact.4 years in the Navy and I never got art,NO special reason.I did watch a friend put his wife's name on,she left him while we were out to sea and he had it sandpapered  off(don't think they do that technique anymore and it left a horrible indented scar ,the tat would have been better.So with all that blab my thoughts are although I think they can remove now with lasers,give thought to what you wan,t to be displayed.I have friends that are incredible ink artists and I personally do not believe tats are bad but I work that out with my God when and if im in the realm of more art..Have a blessed day ,good talkin with ya!!!                 I personaly have a Monkey chained to NA logo ,9connotation is the disease has been arrested) a black panther ,a dragon and Michael the archangel stepping on Satans head with a sword showing victory!!When Im standing before my maker ,I may got some splainin to do!!!   :)
