To all the newcomers I want to say that you should never give up your quest to get clean. The rewards to your sobriety is so intense. I have only been clean for 1 year and already I have my own place and I influenced my husband to get clean also. I lost my 2 kids when they were 6 and 2 years old. They are 23 and 19 now and believe it or not they moved back in with me and I havent seen either one of them since they were 6 and 2. That is amazing to me what God can do for you when you try to do the right thing. All the things that the devil took from you if you give you will to God and do right. All those things that the devil took God will return to your life and then some more. I am telling the truth. And I am so full of peace I dont need drugs or alcohol. I walk around high on life all the time. I promise you that you cant get this high on drugs if you tried. Never give up and keep asking for help. Humble yourself let someone else guide you. That is one thing I had problems with. Because of my pride I could'nt listen to what others were telling me I should do. God is working in my life and I humble myself to him everyday. Keep coming back.
Rosyred3, Welcome to the family and thank you for "carrying the message" of hope .I too just renewed a relationship with my 40 year old kids(may 2009) from my first marriage in 1965 and my 20 year old granddaughter just had a little baby girl,.Trinity Rose.Literature tells us that'LOST DREAMS AWAKEN AND NEW POSSIBILITIES ARISE,,a writing that proves so pertinent when we do surrender to our Higher Power and let Him work in our lives..This message is for all of us whether we have 1 day or 30 years and thanks for reminding us.With God all things are possible.I will pray that God's will is applied to your illness and whatever His plan is so shall it be!peace.
