Faith, Fear and staying in Today.

Faith is the antidote to every fear that lives in your mind or in your heart. Faith thoughts will stop your fear thoughts dead in their tracks. With faith you can sail through any crisis successfully, while fear can stop you right where you are.  It is almost sinful to choose fear over faith.

To be successful  in life we have to recognize that today is all we have, tomorrow has not happened yet and yesterday is over - cant relive it or redo it, it is gone, gone , gone. Since today is it, you have to do it up right:

  • wake up with an attitude of gratitude and a positive affirmation
  • expect the very best of yourself and others
  • be joyful!
  • dont worry about tomorrow, it wont happen until you wake up again and by then - itll be today

False Education Appearing Real

An issue that I face more often than not is fearing instead of having faith.  Fears are often the result of misinformation or misunderstandings.  Fear is what makes problems seem greater than they really are and makes us believe the worst.  If the fear is exaggerated we believe the problems we face are overwhelming.  Living in fear prevents us from enjoying the blessings we have and prevents us from being at peace and experiencing true joy.

FAITH is the answer to overcoming fear.

Great post!

It is sooooooooo easy to fall into mourning for the past and fearing the future.
It's where I go to sooner or later every day.
I have to work at not letting this diseased thinking over take me.
Faith in my higher power is crucial to having a good day for me.
I have different methods that I use to get past feelings of remorse or fear, but prayer is always included.

Just for today.

Keli I envy your ability to "stay in the moment".  I love logging on after a long day & being able to read all of these positive posts.  I have always been a pretty positive person so having faith just came naturally to me.  Unfortunately, I started using at very young age and I was too arrogant & stupid to fear much of anything. My parents divorced when i was only 6 and I became a master manipulator (like all addicts) way before the drugs.  So in my case a little fear every now & then is healthy for me. I try to remember to pray for things like faith everyday. I am very grateful for this post because it gives me so much hope that one day I'll be able to replace my fears w/ complete faith in me & my life.

Thanks Again,
