I believe we all "look for true love" in our lives.How do wE know if we have found it?Probably differs just as each one of us differs.Although I know must love myself ,for me,my concerns are for the woman I love thruout my daily thought patterns...Married 26 years and each day I still find my love growing and wanting to share in my wife's happiness..I firmly believe God has brought me this union and we both share this union with "the God of our understanding.We share each others dreams and work to satisfy each others physical,spiritual and mental needs.Love is patient ,Love is kind,the beginning of your writings.is a great starting point....Giving love and having it returned no strings attached, now thats a blessing.I have been married 3 times and divorced twice,...for some it may be a longer journey than others to be fortunate enough to have reached this stage,a miracle for me ,no doubt in my mind.some may never get there..I firmly believe you will know when you have found "true love"on earth.There is only one love stronger for me and that is the love of my God.Put and continue to keep your faith in the God of your understanding, be honest and as real as you can humanely be, and if it is Gods will for you ,it will happen.Faith is being sure of whatwe hope for and certain of what we have not seen!! You are not asking too much,you may just not be on the same time schedule as your HP. I wish you peace...didnt mean to get "syrupy" on you but my love gives me bumps!!!!!....

Hey Mike, I think they make an ointment for those bumps LOL J/K (couldn't resist) Keli, I think you may be asking too much. People are human and therefore riddled with faults. How many of us don't ever feel envy or pride? It's not the end of the world. The "not rude, self seeking, or easily angered" part is plenty good enough for me. Add a dash of warmth and humor and it's as good as I could hope for. Hope you get what your looking for.
Yeah,, and how I identified with Keli is cause sometime ago I was conciously searching for the Goddess of Love and Light in human form,, but then realized there was none.
Vin says no one is perfect,,,,,and I came to that conclusion too,, one evenin, when I was staring at a state of choiceless awareness !
That Truth has then set me free,, leaving me hoping but not craving for true love !!!
My seeking will certainly have me find !

The only thing I have to add to this thread is that regardless of the degree to which I may be blessed with finding my true love, my soul mate, I must be sure to guard every day as precious, and to be thankful for however long it lasts.
Right now, it's looking as though my ten-year (common law) marriage is, if not over, definately in deep doo-doo. Don't care to share, beyond disclosing the fact of the matter. More, I am sure, will work its way to the cyber-surface in due time!
