My Sponsor

I had to end my relationship with my sponsor today.  It would take her too long to respond back to me.  I liked her.  I thought we had a good relationship, however, we had a major communication problem.
I feel a little lost right now...
I am such a private person.  It isn't easy for me to open up.  I feel lost.  And I feel the loss....

It's easy for us addicts to feel lonely.
Sometimes I think that it is our natural state.
Reach out.
Ya never know.

Hi Nelmsey! I also have a sponsor who is soooo laid back it "perks my resentment button at times" but I work it out and weigh the positives and negatives..Remember though it is your recovery and it has to be working for you.Continue showing up,reaching out ,maybe tryin some different meeting places and"listen" for a new sponsor...Let us know how your doing..smile..

sponsorship is kinda like going steady in junior high. try one out and if it doesn't work out - move on.

i like to think of a sponsor as a local fisherman that i ask to show me where the fish are when i'm on vacation... and if i'm hungry enough, i'll ask for help that's for damn sure.

hang in there and remember that this disease of addiction wants to KILL you.  a sponsor won't save your life, but they sure will help you save your own.
