What was the last thing that happened that rocked your world ? How did you apply the program to it ?

Not too many things rock my world these days, but some medical problems and the ending of a couple of relationships caused me some mental and emotional upheaval. I shared with my Sponsor and other trusted addicts, I shared in meetings a little bit, I journalled about it, prayed about it, I even allowed myself to sit with the pain and confusion instead of trying to make it go away, then I took whatever steps I could and tried to let it go.

I have reason to say the serenity prayer several times each day.
It reminds me that I am powerless over most events.
I surrender to God's will for me every day.
It reinforces that there is a power greater than me. I believe that if I act in accordance with God's will for me than my day will be the best it can be.

The last thing the rocked my world was someone important to me telling me they don't respect me anymore.  WOW!  So, after cryingcrying.gif, I too remembered the serenity prayer.  There are some things I cannot change and have to execpt.

The last drink I had rocked my world. It made me realize how powerless I was, and I was able to surrender completely. Since that incident I now make the program a big part of my daily life. Without the program I know it is easier to fall back into old habits. Amazing how it takes just one small drink to make you open your eyes and realize how will destroy not only your life but of those you love.

This health issue makes me very angry; I hate it when someone from family or friends stupidy stand at the other end of this space.

I know that walking, Fellowshiiping for few hours prayer and Meditation will send me back on Good Trip, but the mystery is that I dont know why I just let defects have their way !!

Im burnin under my skin this day, expressed myself to someone to ease tensions, walked a bit and now here I am,,

Let the goddamn world be rocked by its own insanities, I will Pray and Meditate, just for Today to stay close to Narcotics Anonymous.
