control

Funny word control...what is it exactly...is it when we lie to our selves and say I can get high I can control it...or is it when we are high and lie to our selves and say,"hey I got this, I'm in control"....Addiction is all about control. We use cause it is most often the only thing in our lives we can control. Addictive behaviors are about control..thus recovery is also about control. In order to recover successfully we have to take control of our lives, ask for forgiveness and humble our control and give it to someone else. Then we have to change the "stinking thinking" and turn control word into the faith one has in oneself called strength. When we are strong, secure, and clean we are in better control.

The challenge is knowing what you can control and what you cant; you can control your addiction ....you cant control the weather.
